The DJI Ronin-S Gimbal gets tested out by pro camera reviewer Kai Man Wong. The newly released DSLR sized camera gimbal has been one of the most anticipated large stabilizers to hit the market in 2018.

DJI claimes the gimbals motor system can handle payloads up to 8 pounds (3.6 kg) and the most used camera and lens combinations including the Canon 1D and 5D, Panasonic GH5 and Sony Alpha series like the top selling A7iii. It can take on zoom lenses and works with in-body and in-lens stabilization systems, and it can handle speeds up to 45 mph with a Panasonic GH5 and a 50mm lens using an optional top hot-shoe bracket.

Hot-swapping batteries let you keep filming without having to stop, Also DJI also says a single battery will get you up to 12 hours of operation. The starting price of $699, AU$1,099 or £669 and has began shipping sporadically this late June. You can order today direct from DJI.
