The first detailed review of the New Zhiyun Smooth 4 Gimbal. We get a look at Smooth 4 vs Smooth Q, PhoneGo Mode vs Standard, Vertigo Shot vs Zoom mode.
Although this is not in English (Updated with English version of review.) it is easy to follow along and get a good idea about the Smooth 4.
One big improvement comes with help from the ZY Play app. It appears that when filming through the ZY Play camera app instead of the standard camera app it reduces rolling shutter quit significantly. If this is true that will be a big improvement in the quality of video captured with the Smooth 4 gimbal.
In PhoneGo Mode extra power is sent to the gimbal’s motors to help hold the phone more solid. This cuts down on the added shake you usually get with quick movements. If also allows for fasted panning from side to side. This mode can only be used for short periods of time to keep the gimbal motors from overheating.
We also get to see a few test shots using the Vertigo Shot mode which pans and zooms at the same time.
