Somebody finally called out DJI and their Osmo Mobile 3 for them making a very similar gimbal to the Snoppa Atom.
Lok Cheung is the first person to go on the record and make the claim that DJI ripped off the design of the Snoppa Atom gimbal.
Quote from Lok: “Are we going to keep pretending DJI didn’t rip off Snoppa with their Osmo Mobile 3 because, they are DJI? Although the Osmo Mobile 3 is great and Better design than the Atom in many ways.”
Lok goes on to compare the similarities and the differences between the two gimbals. Also why you might want to buy one over the other to shoot video with your smartphone.
The look of these two gimbals are just too similar for DJI to have not taken some inspiration of the Snoppa Atom’s design. Did DJI improve Snoppa’s gimbal design enough to make it the better choice? Well let’s hope the app for the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 is better than Snoppa’s. If not, you should plan on buying FiLMiC Pro to control your phone. Especially those who use an Android phone.
