There has been a big confusion about the real weight limit of the Zhiyun Smooth 4 Gimbal. Some have claimed the Smooth 4 can only hold 210g while others have reported that the Smooth 4 gimbal can hold up to 500 grams in weight.
Well after getting clarification from Zhiyun it is a mix of both. The standard operating weight limit is only 210g. This is down from the Smooth-Q’s 220g payload and way below the 260g of the Smooth 3 gimbal. But, there is a catch with the Smooth 4. When set to the PhoneGo mode it will allow for up to a 500g limit for a short period of time. This will allow the use of accessories like clip on lenses and give the gimbal a faster reaction time in rough situations. Think of the PhoneGo mode as a temporary turbo mode. More power for a short amount of time.
