Many people pronounce the Zhiyun-Tech gimbal company’s name wrong. This video from a native Chinese speaker teaches us the proper pronunciation of the name Zhiyun.
The first part of the word Zhiyun means ‘smart’ and the second part mean ‘gimbal’. Smart Gimbal for 智云 which stands for (as the abbreviation of) 智能云台. Don’t be sad if you still can’t pronounce Zhiyun. I still can’t say the word like he does in the video no matter how much I try.

I have never heard anyone say Zhiyun like he does in the video. I think almost everyone mispronounces that gimbal name. My mouth just can’t produce those rolling pauses in the word.
